We Are Trial Lawyers
We focus our criminal defense practice to the representation of clients dealing with issues of mental incapacity, mental illness, addiction in its various forms, or those who have not reached the age of majority (juveniles).
In this regard, we advocate as trial lawyers for our clientele as well as consulting or collaborating with defense lawyers in other parts of the country in the fight for mercy and justice in the courtroom.
We undertake representations that involve serious felonies under either state or federal law such as:
- Sentencing (Mitigation under state law; arguing for reduction under Federal Sentencing Guidelines Manual, etc.)
- Felony Theft and Larceny
- Sex Offenses
- Firearms Charges
- Drug Crimes
- Violent Crimes
- Capital Crimes
Our practice extends past our law firm doors to a vast network of trusted professionals who stand ready to assist us in our defense. They include:
- forensic interviewers
- mitigation investigators
- forensic sociologists
- medical doctors
- substance abuse experts
Working in tandem with these experts, we assess our client's legal situation as well as his or her mental abilities and /or addictive behaviors. In this collaborative approach, we not only better understand our client personally, but we are able to build an appropriate and aggressive defense to the charges they face.
Free Initial Consultation
We invite those who are investigating potential criminal defense counsel for themselves, their loved ones, or their patients, to contact our offices to schedule a free initial consultation about their circumstances.
We also welcome fellow members of the criminal defense bar, both in Florida and across the country, to call us for consultation or collaboration in the trial defense of those who are incapacitated and face serious felony charges and significant sentences.
